Marissa is a beautiful name. Most names beginning with Mar seem to have something to do with the sea whether they are Hebrew, German, Latin or English. Maybe she will have a beautiful free spirit. Most of all I hope she is healthy and happy and you enjoy your beautiful girl.

Natalie and Marissa seem to be kind of over used at the moment. I would go with Tamara.

Tamara means 'palm tree or spice' in Hebrew,

Natalie means 'born on Christmas day or birhtday' in Latin and

Marissa means 'of the sea' in Latin

Personally I don't like either, perhaps try finding on Internet some characteristics of each name and decide then...

I've heard of people not naming their baby until it's born, when they see the baby they say: 'oh, you are... " and the name comes out... depending on the parents feeling what it might suit that little person...

Cool...! My name is Damara... like Tamara with a D... so i'll go with Tamara, unless you wanna name your baby Damara. :) If you didn't know, Damara means "Gentle girl", (Greek name) or it can also mean "Godess of Fertility"... so I spose it's all up to you. Naming someone is a one time thing, so get it right! :) Have fun, and Congrats on you baby girl!

Tamara "palm tree, spice" (Hebrew)

Natalie "birthday, child born at Christmas" (Latin)

Marissa "of the sea" (Latin)

Chose wisely! :)

Out of those three names I like Marissa the best, but am not overly keen on any of them. But it is your baby so name her whatever you like the best, and don't listen to anyone else!

My favourite names for girls are:

Amelie Rose
Darcy Grace
Emily Grace
Jemima Eloise

I like Tamara because the shortened version - Tammy (which she inevitably will end up with) - is nice also. I don't like Nat (the shortened version of Natalie) - it reminds me of bugs!
