Okay, a really good CD that I got was Goodbye Alice In Wonderland by Jewel. It's awesome. Every single song on there is awesome -- and that's rare to find on albums now-a-days. Hope you get it -- it's great!

Right on! A CD buyer. I haven't got anything new so to speak, but I've bought about 20 new CDs in differet genres and they are all good. All classic must haves like, "Head Hunters" by Herbie Hancok (Jazz/Funk), "Dirt" by Alice In Chains (Grunge), "Phish Live In Brooklin" by Phish (Jamband), "Morph The Cat" by Donald Fagen (Jazz/Rock), "Let There Be Rock" by AC/DC (Rock), "Deeper & Harder" by Louie DeVito, mixed by DJ Moody (Mid Tempo/Hard Beat/Dance), "Fundamental" by Pet Shop Boys, (Brit/Dance/Pop/Ambience), "Fraky Styley" The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Funk/Rock), "Test For Echo" by Rush (Progressive Rock), "One Nation Under A Groove" by Funkadelic (Funk/R&B), "A Love Supreme" by John Coltrane (Jazz), "The Best Of Miles Davis & John Coltrane (1955-1961)" by Miles Davis & John Coltrane (Jazz), "Maiden Voyage" by Herbie Hancock (Jazz), "Ultra Weekend 2" mixed by DJ LiL'Cee & DJ Trevor Simpson (Double CD/Dance Mix), "Dee-lux Uh-dish-un" by The Codetalkers (Jamband), "Curtain Call" by Eminem (Rap), "Live at the Fillmore" by Ozomatli (Latin English/Spanish Rap/Jamband). And many more...
Keep buying CDs. It's worth not just for the original recording, but for the CD art, the credits and the history behind it. Make a copy and save the original. It's easier said than done I know. I have over 300 CDs and sadly some of them have bit the dust. Just treat them nice and they should last forever.
PS. Here's a little tip:
Don't ever put a bare CD on any hard suface. A scratch on the picture side is as bad--if not worse--than a scratch on the bottom. All the information is engraved on a slim aluminum film on top of the platic part of the CD wich the laser reads through. A scratch can break the film thus there will be nothing to read when the laser reads from the plastic bottom. There is no fixing this. ;)

Well, Britt, I have unusual tastes in music (I collect motion picture soundtracks), so this might not appeal to you. The best I have purchased this year thus far is the score from Superman Returns - highly recommended. Another favorite is the soundtrack from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (another fine presentation of inspirational music - I like to write stories using the music as creative fuel). Sorry but it's the best I can do.
