a. Eddie Murphy's onstage gear in his concert film 'Delirious' - tight red leather pants, matching red leather top, little Jheri curls, gold medallion. Now, it makes me laugh even before he's opened his mouth.

b. Senior English judges at the annual official opening of Parliament. They have to turn up wearing the whole works - long flowing black robes and their full, droopy, shoulder-length horsehair wigs. It's the only time you'll ever see them all together in a group, waddling along like a pack of elderly, disconsolate basset hounds following the Queen.

c. The lead singer of an obscure 80s British pop group called 'A Flock Of Seagulls' whose hair looked like his mother had smacked him in the head with a giant yellow featherduster and he'd decided to let it remain there permanently. (Not really an outfit, more of a hideous natural accessory.)

I worked an 8 hour endurance run this last Saturday, adn a man was wearing an ICE VEST. It looked like a marshmellow jacket and I thought it sort of unfair, but oh well.
