Not in my lifetime. I doubt it'll work anyway, for now. Too many peasants who cannot read or write. Besides, before the communist, China was ruled by an Emperor throughout history. They wouldn't know what to do with new found freedom. I'm not racist. I'm Chinese. I should actually say we, but I was born in America.

Yes, why not? I see a capitalism China, democracy will come in a nearly future. But the question is: China will be a better country under democracy?

hmmm. "the government has identified the Falungong spiritual movement and the China Democracy Party as subversive groups " i dont think they want american style "democracy."

i could only be cautiously optimistic.
democary seemed far-fetched.
what do you expect when you have a booming economy thats fair to the extend that its possible and a largely illiterate and igorant general population?
