dukefenton there is absolutely no scientific debate about whether dogs and coyotes can hybridise. That is firmly established fact, and hybrids have been produced on numerous occasions in controlled situations. Hybrids in natural situation appear to be much more rare, though that isn't surprising given that we are dealing with t two distinct species.

Being hybrids the temperament of Coyote X dog hybrids is very unpredictable. While they are not generally 'wild' in the sense of being timid or aggressive but they tend to be very much solitary independent animals and are prone to being highly strung.

I don't think it's been established that coyotes and domestic dogs actually interbreed - 'coydog' legends notwithstanding. But if there were any such offspring, they would probably have some traits of both parents. The very fact that there is no definitive information on this suggests the critter is either nonexistent or so rare that nobody has had enough experience raising them to make any recorded observations.

They'd have wild instincts. If humans were "hands on" raising them they would become domesticated

drown the pups when they are born. you will have a real problem if you try to raise them, so save yourself (and the children) problems. just go ahead and do it!!
