The motherboard specs of my pc says 1 x 4X in its AGP expansion slot. Unfortunately, only 64MB AGP 4x is available in the market and I want a bigger size AGP 4x say, 128MB. They say the market today for AGP cards only comes with 8X. Can I use an 8x AGP card to my mb with 4X AGP slot (I haven't tried that one yet) ?

yes, most agp 8x cards are backwards compatible with 4x. theres a handfull out their that arent though. heres the best site to buy video cards... www.newegg.com this site has details on every card and will say if it will work with a 4x slot.

I had an geforce fx 5200 with 128mb ram for a few days, runs at 4x speed cuz my machine was slow back then(athlon 800mhz) they will work just at 4x speed or time to get a new mobo wth pci express.
