im 13 years old and love Michael Jackson's music. And i only listen to 80's music should i start listening to now music like nickle back, rihanna, and such...?

You should listen to whatever music you like and don't let anyone tell you what to like! I love Michael Jackson's music, he is my favorite singer but I also like some of today's music, try Shakira she is awesome!!

Modern music, (especially modern pop music), sucks.
I'm not a big Michael Jackson fan, although I do like 2 or 3 of his songs, but '80s music in general is fun and upbeat to listen to.
Basically, listen to whatever makes you happy. Life is too short to worry about what other people think.

Now everyone knows, if Michael Jackson walks into a room everyone would be in love with him...The same way they loved him b4 all that bull he is goin through now! But to answer your question....Girl i love Michael, and all other old school music. I rarely listen to the stuff playin now cause their all rappin and singing about the same ol stuff...ya kno!?! There aint nothin wrong wit jammin to nickle back or any other genre of music....hell i love music and listen to ALL types of it....whatever i like to listen to is what i listen to. You should do the same!! Continue to jam to the music you love girl!!!

Keep listening to your 80's music but if you really want to venture out of the hairspray decade, sample all the other kinds of music from all of the decades. Or just keep with the 80's, you don't have to sample other music if you don't want to.

for me music is life so do what you want why would you listen to something you dont like its not fun and isnt that why people listen to music. if you like nickle back ect then yah listen to them but only if you like them. me im a big fan of like fall out boy hawthorn heights panic at the disco aiden, ect and would never listen to something i didnt like.

i luv Michael's music too. i really dont care about the whole molesting thing, he's still a great musician.
i dont liek the way ppl treat him now tho, either. like he's some criminal. i personally dont believe that he molested nebody
its cool, wat u listen to. not forcing u or nething, but u should give new age music a try. iif u dont like it theres nothing wrong with that cuz we all hav different tastes-i 'm not picky, i'll listen to every and anything,
but we hav some really good talent out there 2day so give it a spin! if u dont like it, u can always go bac to the classics!
