(Not Recommended) Disable auto play and the message will go away.
(Recommended) Before disabling auto play you should go to the options selection area of your DVD playing software, like; Win DVD, Power DVD, or even Windows Media player on later versions that can play DVD's and select that program as the default DVD Player and that window should not open when playing DVD'.
That window will still come up when a CD is placed in the drive until when you select default CD Playing Software, like: Windows Media Player. RealPlayer etc. Then this window will go away also. That window will still pop up when you insert a data CD with a software program it doesn’t know how to open. This however is a good thing, it lets you select the software that can recognize and run the software. Note: When selecting default DVD Playing software they often open with a pop up of there own asking if you want to start playing at the beginning of a movie, or start where the software remembers you stopped playing it. You can select the box for "start at the beginning", and then check the box saying, "never ask this question again", and that pop up will be gone as well.
I hope this helps..

Well as you may already know, the computer is attempting to find the correct program to use to "play" the content of the DVD. Its not successful on its own so it asks you. Although there may be a way to disable, it will apply to all programs or functions and in some cases if it cant ask you, it may interfere with normal function. Id suggest leaving them open and just click cancel whe nit pops up.

Open My Computer and open the properties (right-click) for your DVD-rom drive. The property page will show options regarding your DVD-rom and the thing that your looking for is there. There is a radio button selection to not to do anything whenever you put media on your dvd drive. Try it it's easy.

Good luck.

Just hold SHIFT key while loading the DVD will skip the autorun therefore the popup will not shwon. Also, if You use Windows XP, installing TweakUI and set to disable autorun for certain DVD drive also work. Download TweakUI at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Go to "My Computer" and right click the drive you want to configure. Right click and select properties. Click the "Auto Play" tab. Select an "action to perform" radio button and the function you want to happen each time a disk is inserted. This will be the default until you change it.
