it is a private party vs. private party matter. neither side has broken the law, but the other side thinks i am responsible for a bad streak of luck and is paranoid. is there a way to stop my privacy from being compromised?

Are you stoned? Temporary means a short period of time. Permanent means that it will never expire.

You want a temporary permanent restraining order.

Your only option would be to use the "stalking" laws if you have them in your state. Other option would be if they take your trash, you could file a police report. It is considered yours until the trashman takes it off your property. Third option is to notify them in writting about your willingness to sue them for traspassing, or invasion of privacy. Most PI are really dumb and if you site some law they wont know its real.

However, it sounds like you might be paranoid and no one is watching you. Best way to find out is take a quiz on bipolar and schizafrenia

This type of restraining order is governed by state law. Your ability to get a TRO depends on what the PI has done, what evidence you have and what state law says a PI can or cannot do.
