Olefin Metathesis.

The 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Robert Grubbs, Dick Schrock and Yves Chauvin for their developments in the method of olefin metathesis. In the process, different compounds with double bonds can reorganize their alkylidene fragments to form valuable new compounds - the chemical reaction is catalyzed by transition metal catalysts.

You should probably just look on wikipedia to get the whole story, it isn't that complex, and it's a great development in modern synthesis. Good luck!
