Does there need to be grounds for annulment?

It can be annulled anytime up to a year with general reason and longer for severe cases such as abuse. Most people filing this quickly usually use false representation. It's a general category and covers just about anything. You do understand that annulment is done through the church, and that you still have to file a no-fault divorce through the courthouse? It's not like writing a check that you can just void out like it never happened. The only time you don't need a divorce, is if the marriage liscense hasn't been filed with the court system yet. And I'm afraid that's usually done by now. I'm sorry you have to go through this and I wish you the best of luck.
