On a trash night, the nextdoor neighbor puts a bag of his trash on your curb where you have placed your own trash. He still has his other trash on his curb. This is a strange behvior from the neighbor. He's trying to sell his house and I guess move.
If you are put in this kind of situation, what do you think is the best thing to do? Would you let it just slip because in the morning the trashmen will more than likely pick it up?

move his trash back into his yard.

you are paying for YOUR trash pickup, not his.

Sometimes the sanitation does not pick up more than 6 bags of trash (it's their policy). Maybe your neighbor is cleaning out and/or moving and just put some of the trash by your side. If it keeps up tho I would mention it to them (in a nice way) to please keep the garbage on their own side.

If the dude is doing it because he's reached his limit of trash to put on the curb and you have space, that's cool.

If not, I'd simply walk the bag back over to his curb. If you got a problem with it in principle just confront him and ask he not do it...

it may seem weird but he could be looking at it as in that way people who are driving by wont think his house is all trashed and may give little more for it you might want to ask him why he does it if you get along with him or you could do nothing since he is trying to sell his home you wont have to deal with him much longer good luck

I am a jerk, I guess, but I would go out and put it back with the rest of his trash! You never know any more what might be in there!

No I wouldn't let it slip! You never know what could be in the trash! You know some ppl get rid of babies, afterbirth, and dead bodies that way.Tell him to keep his own trash.

Yes, why be so damned petty life is too short! You could get hit by the trash truck tomorrow and die, are you going to be worried about trash then?

If you have a flat-rate fee, then it's not hurting anything as long as he doesn't make you go over your limit. Perhaps he's getting rid of stuff and he's over his limit. You are being a nice neighbor for not making an issue out of it.
