It's been a while, but the Cubs won the World Series in 1907 and 1908. They have also been in the World Series in 1906, 1910, 1918, 1929, 1932, 1935, 1938 and 1945.

Looks like you already got the answer, 1907 & 1908. The longest World Series drought in baseball. One could say they were due this year since the team with the 3rd longest drought won in '04 (Red Sux) and the team with the 2nd longest drought won in '05 (White Sox)... but c'mon, they are the Cubs.

You may surprised to learn that the Cubs indeed *have* won a World Series, but none since 1908!!!!!!!!:-)
