Monday night's Oakland-Minnesota game was Tony Kornheiser's debut as an analyst on "Monday Night Football". How do you think he did?

He clearly enjoys ripping weak players and calling out bad performances, to the obvious discomfort of his colleagues. I wouldn't say that's necessarily a bad thing though. The only thing he needs to cool is prodding Theismann and Tirico - "don't you think, Joe?", "right, Mike?" and just say what's on his mind. Once he does that, I think he'll fit. Tirico actually kind of disappointed me; I like him doing college, but his cadence seemed kind of strained and artificial. But, just like the players, these guys need a little time to get into the swing of things.

Just as an aside, I think they should have taken Dan Fouts instead of Theismann; Theismann's alright, but I think Fouts is a better analyst of the game.

Maybe I just dont like change. Well, maybe change is ok as long as it is for the better. But this is not for the better. I just kept getting the feeling I was watching Sunday night football and not Monday. It just wasn't the same and I really didn't like the commentaries at all. BORING
I have never liked Joe as an announcer he always comes across as a know it all and I always tried to tune him out. I have never seen Tony before or saw the show PTI, but if I have to listen to the Tony,Tony, Tony questions every Monday it's going to get real old. I figure if ESPN was going to take over then it should be for the better and it isn't. I would rather listen to Chris Berman commentate the game.
Will I stop stop watching because of the announcers...No, but the sound is going to get turned down for sure.

Satchmo (aka Mr. Tony, aka Tony Kornheiser) was great. I loved the Bob Newhart line, but he did show is tremendous age with that one. I agree with the other posters that Theisman blows. I hope Tony spends a good chunk of each time making fun of Joe. and hopefully Tony will be able to find some time to give some updates on the progress of his kitchen and how his dog is doing.

Kornheiser was fine. The problem is Theisman, who sucks. He kept talking about how much better off Minnesota is without Culpepper. Guaranteed the first Miami game he calls he be on Culpepper's nuts

there became right into a time whilst i assumed MNF couldnt get any worse than whilst Dennis Miller became into commentating. One time i even heard him call him "Joey Montana" as though he knew him from 25 years in the past. no person EVER pronounced as him "Joey" Montana (and that i;m a Giants fan announcing that). no person ought to EVER probable be worse than that friggin moron who couldnt shop up with the interest, or supply worse jokes. Then..................................... Tony got here alongside........ Holy Shyt, that guy suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!!!!!!!! Did all people capture his stupid attempt at a comedian tale approximately Tony Romo, whilst Kornheiser stated whilst he became a QB, he had to offer up his rib joints? Joe Theissman didnt even get it, notwithstanding it became right into a stupid, idiotic comedian tale pertaining to Tony RomA's eating places !!! he's so undesirable, i already despatched 3 emails to ESPN begging them to do away with all 3 of them, unquestionably, yet i'd settle for Tony ok being booted. spectacular question, bro.

I love Tony. PTI is one of my favorite ESPN shows.

I didn't watch the whole game.

The part I did watch, I didn't really pay attention to the broadcasters.

But I think he and Joe Theismann will do some great color commentary during games.
