No there isn't.

Here is the long and technical reason why..
Epson features a single unit integrated print head. The majority of Epsons are ink sublimation printers (IE the print head heats slightly to distribute the ink). Being that the print head is very delicate a small amount of coolant is required to ensure there is no damage or fusing of the print head during printing. This is why you need all cartridges installed and with ink. It is for the protection of the printer itself.

Also Epson features a "sealing" mechanism on their printers to prolong the amount of time it takes the integrated print head to dry out due to non use. This also requires a small amount of ink to me "capped" over the print head. Thus you need all cartridges installed and with ink if you want your printer to continue functioning.

There should be an option in the Properties of the Printer, go to printers and faxes, right click your printer, properties, and tab through there, it should say, "print all colors, in black and white... Good Luck
