During the 1971 All Star Game at Detroi's Tiger Stadium, Reggie Jackson hit the longest home run of a regular home run derby.

Six Future Hall of Famers- Johnny Bench, Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson, Frank Robinson, Harmon Killebrew and Roberto Clemente all homered in the game to account for every run scored by both teams. Jackson's blasts, however, was especially memorable. With one on in the bottom of the third, Jackson ripped a Dock Ellis pitch into a light tower on the roof of Tigers Stadium ---------520 feet from home plate! (MLB estimate)

In the 1969 All Star game in Detroit he hit one off the right field transformer on a rise that may have traveled 550-600 ft had it not hit it. A real blast!
