For me I make lists of what homework assignments i have. I also put their due dates, pages, etc. If its vocab, I use flash cards. If it is something like reading a book and doing a report, i use post it flags to mark important evens or quotes that could come in handy later. When I study for a test I make OUTLINES. I also take really good notes during class. Im going to be a freshman and my advice to you (no matter how old you are) is to do your homework.

1. Homework assignments are tests you can get help on.
2. If you do your homework and learn what your homework assignments are you will do well on tests. (They are the exact same thing)
3. If you do your homework right and on time, you will be able to tell in your grade. It is about 80% (So if you do all of your homework right you can still fail tests and get a B in the class)

Also, study with a friend. That really helps if you have someone to quiz you. They say that if you hear or read something 3 times it will be in your mind so if you have stuff you have to remeber, read and write it 3-5 times and it will stay in your head better. I hope that helps. I like your icon too. are you a family guy fan?

My professors usually give the class study guides or tells us what will be covered on the test for us to write down. Then I write or type out the questions/subjects and write/type the answers below them in a way so I can easily read them. This way I can review the material as I'm making the study guide, and I can go over it before the test.

If I type the questions and answers out, the questions are in italics, and the answers are in regular type and indented. I usually don't number the questions. And if the questions are from different chapters, I use large bold type in some color to separate them (ex. "CHAPTER 5" in bold blue font).

This past semester was the first time I used this technique, and it worked really well for me - I ended up with straight A's in all my classes, and it was my toughest one so far!
