As we know, going into Master course is not that easy, but Im going to strive for it. =) I would like to ask anyone out there, what would be an ideal 2-5 pages of proposal to enter a master degree in Operations Research ( major : Data Mining & Application for Marketing). The proposal is suppose to submit with the application form to a particular university. Or maybe I should write something that is out of the topic itself? Any idea? Thanks..! ^_^

It sounds to me like they just want to know that you will be able to produce good written communications in English. Try to come up with a topic that you are familiar with so that you'll be focusing your effort on making your English as clear as possible. What are the big questions in your field? I'm in health care. The topic I used was "The Importance of Funding Medical Research When Resources for the Provision of Health Services are Strained." They didn't really care what I thought. They just wanted to know that I knew how to present a good argument. I hope this helps. Good luck!

First know that the school wants you to be successful and enter their program.
Second, research the school and tell them why it's a good fit for you.
Third, masters degrees = lofty goals, so some drivel about changing the world for the better might be nice.
Really, consider yourself in ..and you can only screw it up!
