The best part was the cute little scene in the end where they snuggled with each other and woke up the next morning as corpses.

Love story type movies have never been a favorite of mine. But this guy friend loaned me "The Notebook" and told me to just watch it, that it would change my mind about love stories.
I absolutely loved it! The entire movie was a love roller coaster.
I have several favorite scenes. The ferris wheel where Noah is hanging onto the rails and asking Allie out.
Later after they broke up and they meet at his house, the love making scene.
The boat scene.
Them laying in the street and the car comes by and blows the horn? Her laughter, the sheer rightness of them being together. and Noah Calhoun is just the perfect guy!
I have watched it over and over..............
My question to you is WHO is the guy? I don't think I have ever seen him in anything else. I know it is Ryan Gosling. But what else has he done?
Thanks for the wonderful question.......................

I went to see this film with my sister and my Mum and we were the only ones in the cinema. Not the best start, but I continued to watch it anyway and am so glad I did. This is probably one of the most beautiful and romantic films I have ever seen! From the relationship of the two characters to their surroundings, every scene is breathtaking! The Notebook tells the story of a summer romance that turns into a romance never to be forgotten. Allie and Noah are the two lead characters and they are wonderful. You immediately fall in love with the characters and you want to follow every step of their doomed love story. it is one of the greatest love stories ever told. Look out for the lake scene, unbelievable! I came out of the cinema wanting to go back in again and watch it all over again. It feels like you are reading a diary watching this film, thats how detailed and wonderful this film is. Cannot really give too much away about the story, all I can say is if you haven't seen this film yet, be sure to see it. I cannot think of a film more perfect for Valentines Day!

I loved the book and the movie. I like the differences, but it came together nicely on screen. In the movie my fave part was when Allie had to leave Noah and go back to the hotel to meet Lon. They began to argue & Noah says that he wants her, all of her, always, and all the time. The way Ryan Gosling portrayed Noah was so swoon-worthy!

hard to say my favorite part because the entire movie is incredible! but the part that i have to say is my favorite is when he says "will you just stay with me?" and Allie says "stay with you, stay with you! what for? look at us we are already fighting!" and Noah says "well that's what we do..we fight! you tell me when I'm being an arrogant son of a ***** and i tell you when your being a pain in the ***. which you are 99.9% of the time. you have a two second rebound rate and your back doing the next pain in the *** thing" then Allie says "SO" and Noah says "so its gonna be hard, its not gonna be easy. but I'm willing ot work at it because i want you. i want all of you forever!.............." well ya you get the picture! that scene really...just omg...i love that whole movie..it was brilliant! but ya that's my part. o and did you all know that Rachel McAdam's and Ryan Gosling are engaged in real life? ya..the good thing is that they got together after the movie so it wasn't false attraction because of the movie..it was real attraction!!! i own it on DVD and i watch it all the time and my friends hate it but i know all the lines and its the BEST!!!!!!

The best part for me was the realization that the story being told was really about those 2. It took me a bit...and then it was like a ray of sunshine over the movie for me.
I loved that movie. I had an 8 foot poster of them in the rain together on my office wall for about 6 months. It was sexy!!

this is my favorite movie and i have a couple parts that always get to me because they are so sweet. One is the part that you mentioned, one is when she goes back to him after talking with Lon and he is on the balcony and she just looks up at him and shrugs and when he gets down to greet her how she runs to him and he hugs her it gets me every single time. I have seen this movie like 10 times and cried through it every time. I love it

I love that movie and I must say that I had many favorite parts. It also hit close to home. My father has Alzheimer's and when I talk to him about his childhood or even early in my parents marriage he just lights up like she does when she realized the story was about her...

My bf and our favorite part was when he said to her, " I want you, I want all of you." (The part when she found out her future hubby was in town and Noah was trying to stop her from leaving. )
Reminds me of me and my bf... he cried. LOL
