all these answers are so dumb. People trying to answer a question that they dont even know the definition of. First of all, "by proxy" means you represent a person, place or thing. He was representing the company that hired him not the gay couple, unless they hired you then yes you would be gay by proxy otherwise no. Please, people read what you are writing and know what youare saying. He was just being silly not trying to attack a "group", which is the first to think when anyone uses the word "gay".....

To begin with, I believe homosexuality is a disease of the heart -- metaphorically speaking (i.e., watching other homosexuals and praciticing their actions and habits or thinking about their actions and habits in an admiring way, infects your heart, and inculcates one with those very habits and traits that homosexuals carry) -- and therefore, that no one is naturally born as a homosexual (queer, gay, etc).
Although your question is a bit silly, the answer is, no. Nevertheless, you should steer away from them if you fear being influenced.
