I think at one time Castro had a true vision for the direction he felt his country should move. I think at first it was genuine and real to him. And if that was the end of the story I would say he was a man honor and direction. Unfortunately when he saw the flaws in communism, and the harsh poverty it brought on the people of Cuba he succumbed to the age old adage.power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. He turned from leader of a vision to a brutal, self indulgent, power hungry tyrant. A person history will not treat kindly

he's a great leader..........for 30 decades he could stay in power while American trade bans..CIA tried to kill him numerous times...including covert invation(bay of pigs).........he was able to resist them all.....Whithout any help from any country in the world Cuba survived with pride.i respect the courage and skill of Castro.....he's a hero to me........i think those fools who want him to die dosn't know anything about world history...people in cuba loves him thats why they keep him in power while they suffer from American Bans

Evil dictator that should have been overthrown. Of course, I think we should lift our ban on all things Cuba and open up trade with them again. Don't understand why we trade with China and not Cuba.
