my friend is moving out to Alberta and she is selling her car cheap, she's kept it in real good shape and always parked it in the garage. I know the car well but i'm just looking for advice from people on here that have owned one. do they break down often or have any defects...recalls?

the cars are alright ,,its the people that have owned them that give them a bad name,,they ran them to death,,and didn't take care of them,,then when they tear up,,all the sudden there junk,,any car will fit in that category if you run it to death,,and don't take care of it,,i own a repair shop in Tennessee and have serviced a lot of them,, and i have only seen minor problems from them,,but like i said,,the ones that i have worked on,,have been taken good care of,,and are still good cars,,i my self like them,,i like the way they run and drive,,and also look good too,,if you have found a good one,,and can get a good deal on it,,and want to buy it,,don't let someone talk you out of it based on what they have heard,,i have seen one in my shop with a blown motor before,,but that was the owners fault,,the ran over a piece of metal in the road,,and busted the oil pan,,it wasn't the cars fault,,i hope this help,s.
