I AGREE! i worked with a MIT grad and he can't keep track of his keys. don't ask him to be a human being either and have a personality. he never make mistakes, but i found tons of them when i had to do some figure work after he was done with a project. cost the company but i didn't squeal - they found out in a report that showed who did what. I feel sorry for him. Lacks social skills and doesn't play well with others needed to be on his resume.

Because there's a difference between book smart and common sense smart and sometimes those who are book smart lack the common sense just as sometimes those who lack the book smarts have tons of common sense.

education is no substitute or enhancement for common sense. in fact the higher education some people acquire the further detached they become to what little common sense they developed in childhood. please dont ever assume common sense is equvalent to high education.
