are people even organized enough to try that? i don't think it would work, because there is the equal amount of energy pushing back from the side away from the sun. if everyone moved to one side of the earth and tryed that, then there might be a chance, i don't honestly know? contact me if u find out, or if u want 2 chat about this more.

The center of mass of the earth-people system would be unaltered. The earth would not be moved and there would be no effect on global warming. If the people jumped off the earth entirely, global warming could be reduced or eliminated because a large fraction of polution would be eliminated.

There would be a really tiny change in momentum, but this would have no chance of having a significant effect on global warming.
The Earth is far too big compared to even 3 billion people in daylight to make a sh*t of difference.

enormously, it would. even with the fact that the impression could be too small to degree, even only one guy or woman leaping has some form of effect. Newton's third regulation of action states: "for each action there is an equivalent and opposite reaction." once you leap you push against the Earth. the quantity of rigidity that pushes you into the air additionally pushes the Earth faraway from you. yet by way of fact the Earth is so vast, and there are maximum of alternative plenty greater suitable forces performing against the Earth on the comparable time, e.g. the solar, the Moon, and all the planets, it would be impossible to degree your effect.

first of all the centre of mass of earth people system would not change and thus there will be no affect.
secondly, what makes you believe that going far from sun will reduce global warming. global warming is more because of green house gas like Carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide which let heat in but don't let out. its like a glass house. it would be real hot inside as sun light carry heat inside and is trapped by glass. it is similar with earth. global warming is thus because of green house gas and to reduce global warming, reduce the production of these gases.

Nothing would happen. The weight of every person on Earth is less than the pressure of the winds blowing against the mountains. It is less that the weight of waves beating against the shore. It is less than the weight of water falling from the waterfalls.
;-D Study hard in school. You can learn what is possible, probable, improbable and impossible. It is good to have an idea of reality.

Lolz. No. We mortal humans are no match for the power of gravity which has our humble earth imprisoned in its ruthless hands!
I'm a dork, I know. Anyway, funny question. But, no, we idiotic human beings must suffer the consequences of what we did (global warming) the hard way: fry to death!
Now and then,

It's not daylight everywhere in the world at the same time, therefore, that wouldn't work.

No. The displacement of energy would equal itself, and cancel any changes.
