It seems to me a lot of the current chaos in the world has been as a result of people who follow the Muslim faith, be it extreme fundamentalist or whatever. From their actions, they show they are following the Devil rather than God and seem they would be better off believing in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny at least no one would get hurt.

If there is a WWIII within the next twenty years, I 100% believe 'extremist' Muslims in some way would start it. Communists are mostly only a threat to their *own* people, but Muslims tend to take over countries and enforce their own religion... or blow things up.

All religion is a threat. Look at WWII. The Germans thought the Jewish religion mandated a death sentance. What about the disputes in the UK with the Catholics. Think about it. Were in America. A country where religous freedom reigns, and damn near half the world flocked to because they were persecuted for thier religious views.

Religion is just another thing the world has to seperate everyone into different classes and groups. Like were not having enough problems with Ethnic differences and skin color. Hell lets continue the religion and find more ways to hate eachother. Maybe we should start cults where only people that are 29 years old can join, and hate everyone else.

I dont care if Im the only one that thinks that half of the worlds violence would disappear if there was no religion. It is America after all. Or at least until some off the wall religion changes that.

World War III may be just around the corner, and it's because of the uprise of Muslim fundamentalists. Normal muslims aren't bad people, but the extremists who make the rest look bad are hard to pick apart from the good ones.

Bottom line, they started the beginning of what may be World War III on September 11th, because just like Nazi Germany, they beleive that anyone who doesn't live their way of life should die. It's scary that that kind of hatred and extremism still exists in the world.

It seems that anytime anything violent or inflamatory happens its the fault of the muslims!! Muslims in general are a peaceful and practical people, its the fanatical, arrogant self serving "followers of the prophet" who give Islam a bad name. By instilling a belief in uneducated or angry believers that the west and/or other religions are to blame for their lot in life when all they are really doing is satisfing their own personel vendettas and biases, funny how none of the 'brave leaders of these groups' volunteer to blow themselves or their family members up for the cause!! Then you have pricks like Bush constantly fanning the winds of hatred against muslims by always alluding that any atrocities committed in the world are always by "Muslim" Terrorist, kinda hard to agree or respect for something when you are always told they are the baddies. Other religious bodies don't seem to cop half the flak that muslims do. It about time people stopped playing the blame game and did something rational and sensible instead of the usual hateful rhetoric!!

Not an more than any other religion. Religion doens't have much to do with it except that's what's most easily used to identify another social group. Islam has been around for about 1300 years, so if it's a threat, it's one humanity has been living with for a long time.

Ask them if Christianity is a threat to humanity, what do you think they'd say? When it comes to foreign policy, and religion, and politics, and race, and ethnicity, there is no "good guys" or "bad guys", there are only different groups with different opinions and different perspectives.

Here's a start for you.

Last week's plot to use airplanes to commit mass murder on an unimaginable scale was foiled. Like 9/11, this scheme was the work of terrorists, and we can expect them to try again. The urgent question is whether we remain willing to carry the fight to the terrorists--and prevail.

On August 1, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in a Los Angeles speech, rebuked those who believe that the West is somehow responsible for the emergence of the terrorists. As he pointed out, they are driven by "religious extremism," a radical version of Islam. And they have located themselves in virtually every major nation in the world. "They are prepared to strike," Blair said. And so they almost did.

Thanks to the Brits, with assistance from the Pakistanis, for saving the day. But we in this country will have learned nothing from this near-horrific episode if we fail to strengthen our resolve to win the war on terrorism.

the actual Muslim faith preaches peace - to three extent. the project is the unconventional extremists who take issues out of context a twin of radical Christians do. actually, more effective wars for the era of history were fought by technique of Christians attempting to rework human beings than the different faith. the in uncomplicated words causes that Muslims have become the form of undesirable rap lately is as a results of the movements of the extremists who misinterpet their holy e book, the Koran. I actually have associates who're Muslims and they could by no skill dream of injuring every person and they hate the undesirable call the extremists are giving their faith.

Is the Christian religion a threat to humanity?
Is Hinduism? How about Buddhism? Or maybe Judaism?

The reason why a lot of people think that Islam is an "evil" religion is because the fanatical idiots hijack Islam's true message, and warp it to further their own hate-filled ideology.

It's like the KKK. They claim they are "Christian", but they are far from it, they just manipulate the religion to further their cause for hate.

No, the Muslim religion is NOT a threat to humanity. Religious extremists are the threat. Catholic extremists have murdered in the name of GOD, Christian extremists have murdered in the name of GOD, Muslim extremists have murdered in the name of Allah (GOD). I agree that their actions show that they are NOT following a Godly path.

It does say in their Koran to exterminate all (infidels) that will not follow Islam in this world. Given how deeply their conviction and belief in the writings of the Koran eventually they will have to do what it says.

I hope the majority feel different about following that passage.
