You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.
You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.
To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.
It will solve your all search related problems.

CLick on the pencil symbol on the toolbar and click on clear recent searches. IT WORKS.It clears yahoo's toolbar search history
If u wanna clear the search history of Yahoo in it's site, u have to go to Tools- Internet options-content-autocomplete- clear forms and clear passwords.Doind this can clear the user names and passwords and watever u typed

Goto internet explorer-->Tools-->Internet Options-->select delete cookies, delete files under temporary internet files and clear history from the bottom of this window. then click apply.
see if you still have the history......
