when milk is warmed it activates an amino acid (building block of protein) called tryptophan which can make you sleepy. turkey has a lot of tryptophan too, which is why people want to take a nap after thanksgiving dinner.

milk only makes you sleepy if your not moving around
i used to be a milkman myself,i would drink milk to go to sleep at night when i was younger
but when i became a milkman i drank a pint of the float on my breaks,i went through about 4 pints on the job and i never felt sleepy, but as soon as i got home and layed down for about 5 minutes the chemical in the milk kicked in and i went sound asleep.
if your lookin for ways to fall asleep watch some tv or films in a comfy lying down position and just stare at the tv,basically fry your eyes and you'll drop off
sweet dreams

If you warm it up, yes, it can. it is also nice when you add vanilla and a little sugar. (if you're going to add honey, add it after you've warmed up the milk.)
