I suffer from RLS as well and unfortunately no "home remedies" have helped me with much success. What I would suggest is a nice warm bath after some moderate exercise (leg lifts, treadmill, etc). I am not sure what medication you were prescribed, but I went through quite a few before eventually doing some research myself and telling my doctor what to put me on. I currently take Mirapex .25 mg 2 capsules every night about 1-2 hours before bedtime. Mirapex has allowed me to finally get to sleep and decreased my symptoms of RLS about 95%. Good luck to you!

restless leg syndrome is a lousy thing to have, while lots of so call cures out there, the best single thing i found to do is to put a pillow between my upper thighs, laying on my side. as far as doctors go, only relief i have found has been with a chropractor. thats all i got , hope it helps

My grandmother has had restless leg for years, and she swears by Folic Acid (a type of vitamin).
Here is an article linking restless leg to folate defficiencies:

You might want to talk to your doctor about cymbalta. Its for neuropathy or nerve damage, but is also FDA approved for depression and they have had many sucesses with Restless Leg syndrome.

Drink about 4 oz of tonic water before going to bed. This was recommended by a doctor for my friend.

Drink cocoa, and cut out the caffeine after 6pm. I don't go to bed till I'm nodding off; that associates bed with sleep.

Maybe you should get a sleep test. It could be something else more serious causing the RLS.

Maybe you are thinking too much. Have a glass of wine and go to bed.
