When I run the Connect & Go CD ROM, I get to the point where it asks me to install TalkTalk's 90-day free security software. I click "YES" to install, but nothing happens. I re-run the CD ROM and select "NO" for the security software, but I cannot get the "network" to connect. I've tried their tech support, they couldn't help.

Canaries - I used the same PC perfectly fine with NTL broadband. Nothing was done to the PC after I changed to TalkTalk. I'm running Windows ME.

OK, spoke to TalkTalk's helpline again. We managed to get the security software installed, but still cannot connect to the network. Then they cut me off, and I can't call them again. Can someone please help, thanks!

Windows ME is no longer supported my Microsoft - it's full of bugs - up grade your computer if you can.

(Windows 98SE is a long more reliable than ME)

Need more info; What OS? Did you have broadband with a different supplier? Has the network prt been used before?
Make sure that you properly uninstall before trying again and run any virus checks etc.

Thought it might be NTL. Had similar problems.
Make sure all NTL components are uninstalled. Check msconfig startup.
then go to system/ hardware manager
scroll down to network interface and uninstall it.
reboot
now reinstall network interface and then run the talktalk disk
hope that helps
