That's because they're retards who don't understand the gothic subculture and prefer to associate you with goth stereotypes because it's easier to. These are people who are ignorant of any other world beyond their own pansy-*** spoiled one; they're afraid of change and something that's different because it threatens them. In your case, you're young so maybe they say those things because of their age and ignorance at that age. Plus, I bet you they're all preps and gangsters who call you goth because you wear black and aren't one of those mindless drones society produces today! Especially the ones who only wear something because it's in and if you're not wearing the pastel colors that are noticeable from a mile away, then you're GOTH!
Word of advice, darling. Ignore them because sooner or later they'll have to grow up!

dude who cares what they say!!! Im a teen boy who's favorite singer is Mariah Carey!! i dont care if people tell me she is horrible or that im weird, cuz i know im not. i like what i like ant thats that, and the same goes for you. You will have the last laugh when you see them turn goth (SWEET REVERGE!!!!!!!!) itl probably happen. people like that just do what is cool and new i admire you for staying true to yourself..
