Get henna. They look really good and last for 2 weeks. Or you can print out a temporary tattoo on tattoo paper and see what it would look like on your skin, wear it a few days and then see if you like it. If not, try something new, or different.

Oh why wait... just do it. I just got back from Maui where I got my first one done. Two weeks and it's already healed. Temps I've heard will last around 48 hours depending on if your in the water a lot.
