Seriously, think about how much less crime and injuries there will be. If you disagree you are stupid just like Bush.

You'll pry my automatic shotgun from my cold, dead hands. I need my weapons to hunt deer and defend myself against minorities. *sarcasm*

Plus, you never know when another civil war will start... anyday now.

Okay, I'm not going to do any name calling here. And even though I'm a gun collector myself, I'll even assume for the minute that there was some unexplainable (and unattainable) way to destory every firearm on Earth. Even the ones that the criminals have. Even then, we'll throw in that humans "forget" or "lose" the ability to design their own firearms from scratch (which used to be very common with blackpowder firearms).

Now, gun free world. Great. Unless, of course, you look back through out history and realize that they'd just be substituted with some other form of implement. Bows and arrows, knives, swords, catapults, torches, clubs, heavy rocks, teeth and nails. It doesn't matter. Because you can't remove the root of violence from humanity short of giving everyone a lobotomy. And I for one am not up for that sort of surgury. I know it's cliche, but the truth of the matter is, it really isn't a firearm that causes all that destruction. It's the person wielding it, what they're willing to do to get what they want, whether they have it for protection and food or for murder and mayhem. I understand that people who want to ban firearms are just in their own misguided way trying to make society better, but they're focusing on the wrong aspect. It's the criminals, not the guns.

Yes, please ask the government to come to my home and steal thousands of dollars worth of my gun collection. sounds like more fun than taxes.

OK lets think about it, there were over 4 MILLION new gun made or imported into the US in 2005. wouldn't that mean that the violent crime rate would have to go up? gun ownership has been on the rise in this country over the last 10 years, but the crime rate keeps going down. 48 of the states allow some type of concealed carry now, more than 20 years ago, and the crime rates keep going down.

you need to learn criminals do not care about the laws, if all of the legal guns were collected tomorrow, what in the history of the US Customs Service makes you think that the criminals would not import illegal guns?

Well, I guess I am stupid just like Bush. Have you never heard the saying "If they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns"? So let's say somebody waves a magic wand and all guns disappear. So what? Now the crooks use knives, clubs, whatever else. What has changed? Oh yeah, the old man at the liquor store that could have defended himself with a gun now gets his head smashed in. Friggin idiot.

the ingredient is that if te authorities does get rid of our guns (bolt action, semi automatics) then we may be able to in uncomplicated words as really get diverse guns mutually with thoroughly automatics and grenades and bombs off the black marketplace from gangs. Plus if there grew to grow to be proper right into a civil conflict the authorities might want to for my section might want to blow up some chunks because it truly is a conflict then no longer in uncomplicated words a on a daily basis revolt in court. yet in wyoming they handed a regulation putting ahead if actually each individual tries to get rid of the guns in wyoming the guy will be kicked out of place of work and sentenced to existence in penal complicated

No, we shouldn't have to. There will always be crime, no matter what the weapon is. As for injuries, they're caused by effective use of the device or by people who do not know how to properly use the equipment.

Lame. You'd never confiscate the guns from the criminals, thus we'd all be less safe. I would certainly make it illegal to sell machine guns to the public though, since they're pretty much worthless outside of a war.

If you think there'll be less crime, then check out the soaring crime rates in England and Australia since they've enacted their country-wide gun bans.
Person-to-person crimes like robbery, rape, and assault have sky-rocketed.
Home-invasion robberies cannot be stopped by an unarmed populace.
The police suggest a person flee their homes if broken into while they're home.
Why don't you move to either one if you don't like America's gun laws?

Well you would have to make a big change in the Constitution and that won't happen. Move to Cuba, they don't allow guns over there. And most Democrats wouldn't even agree with you. You're a left wing whack job aren't you? You aren't even a Democrat.
