WHAT! You mean I've been wasting my time on here? I thought millions of people were signing on and using my wisdom to rearrange their lives. You mean cyberspace is just like real life and no one is listening to me? Oh well, I do get to keep the points, right? That's more than my opinion is worth here at home.
By the way, LOVE your round Avatar! (That's just my meaningless opinion)

In the end opinion is meaningless, unless that opinion is attached to 'change making abilities' or access. That's why opinion matters. Thus, anything(money, power, women, compassion, etc.) that can affect and manipulate opinion must matter, as well.

I disagree that it is meaningless. First, it has meaning to the individual, whether or not he shares it with others. Secondly, it can be influential, sometimes very influential. Third, people do vote, and do provide their opinions to pollsters who take them seriously and act upon them. Marketing experts and politicians find them necessary as statistical polls which are important in the aggregate.

In my opinion, in most cases you are right -- but who cares? =)
Most of the time readers or hearers really don't want to explore truth, because it might be discovered, and might require change.
While it is true that "a fool delights in airing his (or her) opinions", and usually more is required than talk to effect change (Talk is cheap), the exchange of ideas is still the usual birthplace of change. Once in a while something we say might cause someone to rethink their thinking, and vice versa. Sometimes ideas catch on, don't you think?

Opinions are not meaningless, they are meant to open up your mind on things, to give you views other than yours...It's called attitude! loosen up and listen..but in the end, you have to own whatever decision you gonna do

Those who are in a position of power (i.e., the President, Congress, Senate, etc.)...they're the one's who's opinions matter...even when they're wrong. The rest of us are the ones who're screwed.
