Hey, that's great for you. I'm a pretty good shot myself.
But what about if there's more than just one or two attackers.
Even with a speedloader you're pretty much S.O.L.
Remember, it's better to have it and not need it... then need it and not have it.

imo the only truely legitamate use for a fully automatic gun is a lmg placed in a strategic position to control large numbers of advancing enemy ... i think the idea of a fully auto personal arm isnt necessary if you are familiar and disciplined enough with ur weapon to make shots count and i much prefer semi-auto. i like a revolver for backup but prefer a semiauto rifle with a large clip for main. i think the original idea behind giving every soldier an automatic weapon was the more projectiles u launch at an enemy position the more likely to inflict casualties with a rifle in the hands of a soldier with little to no experience. .. imo a 357 or other large hangun isnt the best choice for indoors ... in a night situation the flash can blind u for a few seconds and the noise will definitely box ur ears where u wont be able to hear anything.

Give me a pump action Remington 870 with an extended magazine. Then will see who's faster. The bank robbery in 1997, detailed in the movie "44 Minutes," in Northern Hollywood, Ca. should show any moron why no one should be allowed to own an assault rifle. The two suspects took semi-automatic and made them full auto. They held police officers at bay for 44 minutes until one killed himself and the other suspect died from his wounds. Don't tell me you need a tricked out AKM with a 100rd drum magazine to hunt deer. No, I'm sorry but someone who wants to use an automatic weapon needs weeks and weeks of training to use it properly, not Ennis and Bud driving to the local gun store and load heavy with full auto weapons to go squirrel hunting. People say that if the get rid of assault weapons they'll take handguns and shotguns next. Bullshit. I like the NRA, but that crap about automatic rifles or ones that can be turned into automatics is just stupid. Idiots. It makes ALL gun owners look like a bunch of loons. Give me a shotgun or a pistol in properly trained hands and we'll see who can protect someone, their home, and their family from intruders.

Yeah, yeah. Always with the macho crap. Every guy I've ever met who blathers on about guns and self-defense would literally pee his pants if ever confronted by a stone-cold sober, experienced gunman who's fully prepared to blow them away. I knew a guy who'd pretty much convinced me he was the baddest, and would be like, way cool in any such situation. Well, one night he and I were up late working on a project, when he heard what he was convinced was a person trying to knock his door down and was coming to get him. He grabbed for his gun - dropped the d*am thing TWICE - and shook so bad he couldn't take the blamed thing off safety! He actually handed it to me begging me to "shoot the f*cker - shoot 'im right through the door!" I didn't, and not thirty seconds later his drunk father staggered through the door and passed out on the spot. I handed my oh-so-brave buddy his gun back - AFTER removing the cotton-picking shells! The dumba$$ woulda shot his own father if I hadn't been there, of that I'm certain. So people like you do not impress me, and people like you should not be allowed access to sharp pointy objects, let alone firearms.

Its easy to be against guns in an age where we all for the most part believe we can change the direction of government thru a vote. But what about your children and grand children? Or their children or grand children? Should they suffer in tyranny and oppression from a government unrepresentative of the people just because today it isn't needed? That's the difference between your train of thought and that of our founding fathers. They saw the whole picture... they had a gift for seeing the future. They in their infinite wisdom saw the genuine need for the 2nd amendment. I am with them.

Why do you need a fast car? You may be destroying the earth with your excess carbon monoxide.
Why do you need a loud stereo? You may hurt your ears, or if it's in your fast car, you might hurt my ears.
Why do need a triple burger?
What gives you or anyone else the right to decide what I should eat or drive or shoot?
What's next? You want to tell me how to vote? That's why we should have automatics.
