Just don't start again. It's bad for you no matter what. I know it's easier said than done but you can do it. I believe in you. Think of your family.

If the surgery involved the sinuses or deep interior tissues, I'd wait three to four days, absolute minimum.
Doctors are always telling you not to smoke before or after surgery; I just had surgery, myself, a few weeks ago, and was told not to smoke for 3 weeks (!) before. I cut way down, and quit for the last three days before. It was the best I could do, and it was acceptable to the doctor, after all.
I waited 48 hours after my surgery to return to my smoking routine, but my surgery was on my back, after all, and no nose tissues were involved.
Frankly, every doctor has a different schedule for non-smoking regimens. Some say 24 hours, some more. I am beginning to think that some of them just make up what ever number of days they'd like to see you abstain.

Smokers heal slower after any surgery that non-smokers. This told to me by the doctors that did two surgery's on me in the past 2 1/2 years.

It is very bad to smoke while healing it will delay the healing and make you prone to bleeding. most you have to wait 2 weeks but with your nose when ever you go back for follow up ask the doctor.

Yes, it's bad to smoke while healing from surgery. Smoking constricts the tiny blood vessels needed to deliver white corpuscles (which protect against infection) to the injured site.

Yes its bad to smoke after any medical procedure. Smoking constricts blood vessels and makes it difficult for your body to heal properly. If you can, give up the smoke ( forever would be great) until your nose has healed completely.

It's "bad to smoke" any time. I'm sure I'm not the first person to tell you that, though. Seriously though...if you've been off the cigs for a little while now, maybe you could choose to take this opportunity to stop smoking? I'd like to see you live longer....so would your loved ones.

Since you're going to have to stop for a while to heal, why not just stop altogether? Seems like good timing.
