If your exercises includes strength building routines such as weight lifting or other anaerobic exercises,...protein will help nourish the broken down muscle to grow and be stronger. Two weeks is a very short period of time. Stick with it and you'll start to see results in a couple of months. Be healthy about it. Only work out maybe three times a week...your body needs to heal itself after a workout to grow stronger. Good luck.

Two weeks isn't enough time for anything to work. You should work out at least 3 times a week. Every other day is better, which would average out to 3.5 times a week. Make sure you are doing enough exercises with the correct weights. I see people in the gym all the time using only about 1/2 the weight they should. Let's put it this way, the are about 1/3 my age and using 1/2 the weight I use. No, I'm not all that buff. Aside from the protein shake, make sure you have a good diet.

you are probably not working out correctly. too much lifting and you'll get very low results. you also have to eat correctly. read the book "body for life" for a good introduction to bodybuilding and a solid muscle gain/fat loss plan.
