I took hair brush, hair pieces, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, body wash (just to find out they gave me baby hair and body wash), a couple nightgowns (that you don't mind if they get messy or you can wear the hospital gown), a pair of shoe socks (with those little rubbery things on the bottom, keep your toes warm), and a change of clothes to go home in and a outfit for baby to come home it.

The hospital here gave me a robe and the net underwear was a MUST (and you don't get your own icky). Also this hospital gave me diapers and wipes to use. You won't need pads, you will LOVE the cold ones they give you. Just crack it and it gets cold, feels SO good "down there".

Also anything else you think you may need. Just pack light. I orginially started to bring about three bags and it just ended with an overnight bag for me (even though I was there for two days) and the diaper bag for my daughter. I also brought blankets (the ones that my grandma made her, they are now her favorites and the ONLY ones allowed in the crib with her now) because she was born in January (she brought the snow, she is nicknamed "Snow Baby" by my friends). Of course bring the car seat when it is time to go home, but you don't need it to go to the hospital.

Pack like you are going for an overnight trip.

Also pack it NOW and have it by the door, don't pack while in labor. :-)

In the end pack what you THINK you need and then if you forget anything send you hubby or a friend to go get it. :-)

I also took a cell phone (check hospital policy first) and I took a deck of cards to entertain my fiance. The deck of cards was a last minute choice because my back was hurting and I thought I may get an epidural (I can't STAND my back to hurt)! Don't want him to get bored too.

I have three kids, so I think I can help you a little. You will need a camera, toothbrush and toothpaste, Hairbrush, make-up, if you wear it, slippers, they do give you booties so if you don't have any don't worry, an outfit to come home in, an outfit for the babies first picture, it's the same outfit you will bring him/her in, a car seat, and if you just can't sleep without your pillow, you should bring that also, and if you want some snacks that you know the hospital won't have bring them as well. That should be it. I know it seems like a lot, but your gonna be living there for two days after the baby is born. Good luck Hun and I hope all goes well.

Find out what the hospital provides. They usually provide diapers, pads and even hats and clothes for your baby. The main things you will need are clothes for yourself and the baby to leave the hospital. You should be able to wear your own pjs at the hospital if you want to. And toiletries for yourself that you are used to. You may take sanitary napkins with you, but most likely the hospital will provide them. Just remember the car seat, you cannot leave the hospital without it. Pack like you are going on a trip. Plan to be wearing maternity clothes too. It is doubtful and unlikely that you will be in your regular clothes for a couple of weeks or longer, especially if you are nursing. You may want to take something to occupy your time while in labor and your husband will want things too. Use common sense. It is your best source of information.

It sounds like plenty, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is truly no longer that a lot. do not take up a lot more effective than that because they are going to in all probability desire your holiday to convey in the vehicle seat, so that they recognize it is okay. the in uncomplicated words different ingredient you may want to desire, is a credit or debit card, in case you desire those medical institution pictures, yet those frequently suck. i'm hoping this helped. :) playstation - I merely about forgot... do not ignore the digicam like my dad did even as i grow to be born. in the different case, your newborn might want to finally end up insisting for years, that they were followed, lol.

You should get a list from the hospital to tell you what you will need to bring with you. Make sure you have enough pads, shampoo, undies and bras. I know that when I had my son I only wore my nightie at night time and during the day I wore comfortable clothes. Make sure you have you bag packed and ready to go just encase you go early.

L know those lists make you feel as if your leaving to go somewhere for at least a year.It all depends what the hospital is going to supply when you are in hospital.Ask the hospital what they do supply, for instance if they supply towels, then that's one thing of your list, and you will also know what you should and shouldn't pack.Best of luck.
