I don't think its one of the all time great movies, but it did have a great story, and great people that participated in it to make it great. so i guess it should be an all time great movie.......GREAT!!! lol

That and Escape from New York is a good one too.. I've seen Gangs of New York like 4 times and still play the DVD great!

I think the Gangs of New York was an excellent movie. I have watched it three times.

The fight scenes and sex scenes are great, but honestly I found the rest of the movie kind of boring. Too much of a love story.
I would be interested to know if that degree of violence between different groups of immigrants in early NY was for real.

It was good but I didn't like Leonardo Dicaprio I really enjoyed Daniel Day Lewis.The subject of the movie was interesting no doubt.
