I do not support any of those creeps and would NEVER even go to any film that they were/are in
By going to their movies, I would be giving money to them and they could continue with their crap against America

These people are human and they have the right to make mistakes too. I would not stop supporting them simply because of what they have done. Mel Gibson did something that we have all problem done in our minds or with friends. Tom cruise - that was his opinion and his right to voice it. I always say "you may not understand it you just have to respect it!" Now about Woody Allen that's another story. He i would have a problem with.

Halle Barry - for hitting somebody with her car, and then leaving the scene. No respect for that.
I also am not over the Bard and Angelina thing. They have no morals.
In terms of Mel Gibson - he made a huge mistake and has apologized. We all get drunks and do and say stupid things. We all regret it the next morning and go about apologizing to people. i think he genuinely feels bad about what he did, and I think everybody has been way too hard on him. I have seen celelbrities do and say far worse things. I still have a great amount of respect for Mel Gibson. He screwed up, he knows it, has apologized for it. Let's all give the guy a break.

I have stopped supporting all actors and writers because of their work and their collective lifestyles, and the ones you named are but a miniscule number of the ones I loathe so immensely that I find them to be the "domestic enemies" that the President should protect our country from in any way possible. God Bless you.

After a while I do find myself getting tired of some of these spoiled people and their outrageous lifestyles. I have been sick of Robert Downey Jr. for years. Do you really think you would get as many chances in life as he has gotten and still be rich and respected?
The whole special treatment because you are rich and famous thing has become a huge turnoff for me and I just don't enjoy seeing these people or their work.

i see it this way:
what they do is their business. if i happen to like a song or film with a particular celebrity that may have done something i don't agree with, whatever. i like it. no biggie.
a lot of stars dont like the media interfering with their lives and simply avoid it, like Johnny Depp and Reese Witherspoon. so, when ppl say that celebrities shouldn't whine or whatever when everyone knows what they've been doing because they signed up for it, i tell those ppl that they aren't necessarily right. some dont want the fame, just to do what they enjoy doing.
my opinion, maybe not yurs, but it works for me

It sounds so silly because I don't know these people, but the answer is yes. If they do something that changes my opinion of them then I don't support their work. It has also worked in the reverse.....I never liked Pamela Anderson but after reading how good a mother she is and she's an animal rights activist so now I like her.

I tried boycotting Johnny Depp for some irreverent comments he made a few years back, but dangit, he's just too good. I'm sorry. I like him in everything I see him in.
Besides, if I tried boycotting everybody with whose opinion I don't always agree, that'd be a pretty dull existence.
I don't support their "Causes" (unless I believe in them)--But I can justify something that they are a smaller part of by supporting somebody else involved in the project... like the Key Grip in the film...that guy's got talent!

i guess it just depends on how much you like them, and how offended you get! i think woody allen is a whackjob, but i would still see his movies. tom cruise is a whackjob, but a hot one (hello top gun!). i think i might ban mel gibson though, other than conspiracy theory and what women want i haven't really been that into many of his movies, and i think when he said that stuff he was letting his true feelings come out. plus he is making annoying movies these days.

It depends on what that certain star did. For example, if I liked a star and they murdered someone than I probably wouldnt like them anymore but if I really liked a star and they got together with another star that I really disliked, then I would probably support them like I always did.
