I think in recent history Reagan probably is the greatest president. He ended the Cold War and communism in the Eastern Block countries. He created allies of common enemies. Of course, when he was alive, not everyone saw what he was doing as positive.

Being US President isn't an easy job to stay honest in but Carter is very unlikely to have supplied financial assistance to Central American right-wing guerrillas through arms sales to Iran (to stop the receipts having to go through the books) after Congress specifically prohibited such assistance.

Carter is still doing a useful job of monitoring elections worldwide on behalf of the UN and International Election Watch. His integrity is respected more outside the States than in it, by the look of things.

Reagan isn't even in the Top 15 - for that matter neither is Carter. Carter was in way over his head. Reagan knew how to smile a lot and could read what his speechwriters wrote and sound believable in doing it. Unfortunately, Reagan - like Bush - never had an original thought during his term. But, to Bush's credit, he does stay awake during Cabinet meetings which is something Reagan seldom did - there are many pictures of him nodding off.

I might have selected two others for the respective designations you gave, but your definitely in the right direction. I have a real affinity for the strength of Richard Milhouse Nixon as greatest President, and billy clinton as the greatest suckasssss that ever scummed up the White House. God Bless you.

Reagan is closest to the worst. I'd say he personified the change of the definition of values of this country from Christian values to the values of greed and money.

If you call a president that breaks unions, sells arms to the enemy, and gives money to another enemy, ran the country using a psychic. Hell he wasn't even a good actor. It was just another repuglican idiot at the helm.
