i actually lost 20 lbs in 1 month, I did 30 minutes of jogging and 20 minutes of stair climbing every morning. And for my diet, i only ate oatmeal for breakfast, for lunch any vegetable meal like steamed veggies, vegetable curry etc.. and for dinner i only ate salad with non-fat dressings. NO chicken, fish, pork, beef, bread, rice, pasta, coffee, juices, or soda!!! ONLY drink water, and when i feel hungry i only eat fruit like banana, apple, orange etc. Remember!!! You can only eat up to 6 pm. If its already 6:01 pm the only thing you can put inside your mouth is water. HAVE DICIPLINE!!! Trust me on this.

There is no healthy way to loose that much and get in shape that quick.
You're aren't overweight, unless you are really short. Just start a good diet and exercise routine and it will come in time. You'll be healthier if you go slow, than trying to do everything all at one. Allow at least 3 months for the excess fat to drop, but you will be building muscle at the same time, so don't watch only the scale.
Talk to a professional, like a doctor, dietitian, or fitness instructor, before you begin any regiment. They can point you in the right direction for the best combination of foods and exercises to get the results you want.

Hi ! there is no short cut for weight reduction, You will have to exercise / diet /and control the quality-quantity ,if this is natural over weight which has accumulated over the years. If you are having any medical problem I suggest you meet an endocrinologist and clarify .Usually the baby fat reduces after the teens but some times due to your ignorance and inability to control your input you continue to put on weight ,which in the long run is bad for your physical health.I hope i was able to make my point of view. Be care full with just dieting as it will make you look old and haggard and Wishing you all the best in your trials for reduction of 20 pounds in a month.

20 lbs in a month is dangerous, if you do manage to lose that weight, it's not going to be fatty tissue. It will be all water and muscle weight. 165 is pretty average for 17, if you are trying to lose weight, you should lose no more than 1lb per week, any more will just be water, You can lose 10lbs in a few hours if you wanted to, just sweat your butt off and don't drink any fluids. I don't recommend that though, nothing is worth risking your health and well being, so think about it before you decided to lose 20lbs in a month. I hope this helps!

Buy a pass to a gym, and go for an hour-two hours everyday. Run, lift weights, and do stretches. Toss out all junky foods, or any foods with more than 200 calories per serving (white bread may not have 200+ per serving, but a serving is one slice, and if you eat 2+ slices, that's a lot of calories). Buy easy to make packages of low-cal foods (south beach diet foods, frozen diet meals), and then lots of fresh veggies, fruits, and non-breaded white meats. Fish and chicken are both low cal, low fat, so eat these as often as you can. Grains are high in cals, so try to avoid these. If you need sweets, buy popsicles, not ice cream or cookies. Generally, to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eat, so eat fewer and the exercises and general activities that you do daily will burn off the excess fat.

don't do it in a month, you're probably healthier staying that weight than losing that much in a month.. take it slower, at least in 2 or 3 months.. you're going to need to hit the gym a lot, set some goals for yourself.. or i'd suggest going running, you can start off by taking brisk walks tho and um yeah do weight training for muscles, but cardio to loose fat
