This depends on the state in which you want to teach. Contact a district office to get information about transition to teaching programs. In Florida, you can get a provisional teaching certificate with any bachelor's degree, and have -I believe- two years to complete certification requirements. I know you do not have to take full coursework! I'm not even sure if there are any required methods courses. So check first! If you are really interested in teaching, you should ask for permission to sit in different classrooms to observe. Find out what grade levels and/or subjects you would be most interested in, and where your personality would mesh. If you haven't been in a school for a while, this may be an eye-opening experience. Do not fail to look into the salary schedule -you may be disheartened! Teaching can be very rewarding, but it can also be frustrating.... talk to teachers!!!! Of course, I love it and can't imagine being happy doing anything else and you could be the same! :) Good luck!

It depends upon the level you want to teach. If you are talking about teaching in the fields you trained in then a Master or Doctoral degree will help you get a job at a college or university. If you want to teach kids then you would have to complete the requirements for a teaching degree- maybe a year or two more than you have. If you are looking for a specialty think about Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist. They are always looking for them in school districts.

It depends a great deal on where you live and what the supply and demand is for teachers. In Los Angeles, you could probably get right to work on an emergency credential while you complete the necessary coursework. It's not easy, but possible. Otherwise, check your nearby universities. Most have programs to get what you need for certification without necessarily getting another degree.

I am a teacher. That's what I got my degree in. However, my sister got her degree in Geography (GIS). She now wants to become a teacher. She is going back to school to earn her masters in education. It doesn't take as long! Look into what your state requires.
Good LUCK!
