Malaysians are fortunate to not suffer the kind of bigotry that begets paranoia. We live is a perfectly multi-cultural, multi-religious, multi-lingual country where almost 60% of the population is Muslim. It's hard to get on a plane here without being on the same flight with many people who are Muslim and aged 20 - 25... since they would likely be my friends and travel companions as well.
Besides, here's a question for you: how do you know if anyone is Muslim or not? If you are judging by appearances alone, you would have a hard time in Malaysia because, believe it or not, Muslims in Malaysia wear suits and ties from Boss and casual wear from Hilfiger... you can't judge by clothes dude. A few stand out, but please believe that NOT EVERY MUSLIM IS A TERRORIST!
And I'm Catholic, in case you are about to ask the question...

How would I know they were Muslim? By their dress? Stereotyping and racial profiling is wrong. Does Muslim now equal terrorist to you?
Yes, I'd get on. I paid my money and I'll take my chances like I've been doing long before terrorism became the hot topic of the day.
What makes you so sure the pilot isn't suicidal, drunk or crazy? What if he uses that gun in the cockpit to subdue the co-pilot and runs into a mountain or takes a nose dive into the ocean? How do you know the flight attendants or another passenger won't go "postal"?
Stop buying into a culture of fear and spreading it to others.
If you are wise, you'll give me 10 pts. for a sound answer.

i'd board the flight, and if I felt it warranted it i'd notify the flight team so that they could save an eye fixed on them, plus possibly notify the air marshall, and that i'd do the same. caution and preparation are good, worry and replacing your existence because of it truly is undesirable. as long as they're less than commentary you'd be ok. Plus with new protection protocols there is not any reason to panic over something this trivial.

Im guessing you are trying to see if everyone equates young Muslim men with terrorists. I would get on the plane and not assume that those people had any intentions of being sucide bombers. I have talked to many Muslim people, from many different areas of the world, and they all pretty much say that the sucide bombers as Muslims in name only.

Coming from a multi-ethnic family, I would have and did in the past, but now I would probably change my flight to a different one. I have not flown since 9/11 and probably never will again.

I would just check the flight number and make sure that it's number wasn't 50/50. I would hate to judge someone because of their color, creed, or religion.
