North.

There are a lot of reason why civil war happen and the first and for most reason is the abolished of slavery, cause as the North began to integrate into a industrial nation, whereas the south are still doing agriculture's and depend heavily on the slave to work for them 24 hrs of the day and 7 day a week, slave was nothing but a commodity to the south.

While to the North, slave was consider a free man and they has the every equal right as others, and was not exploited by the employer, this is why a lot of slaves are willing to run to the North to seek sanctuary and safe lands so that their sons/daughter will never be slave forever.

It is with this issue that rang the first issue of war and it was which President Lincoln die with. Democracy and Human right are always very costly and at times bloodshed's are spill.

Without the North, southern America will cease to exist from the strain of war, and without it a lot of people will not find freedom and people would still be living because of their colours.

North--I like the idea of a Central Government and the US as a united country instead of like 50 seperate countries.

The North. It's good to be on the winning side of anything.

The North because I think that everyone should live free and only work at something by choice - not because the farmer bought them at a slave market.

though i'm from the midwest (south) and live below the mason-dixon line, i would have wanted to be in a northern state. i think it's abhorrent for people to "own" other people. we are not cattle, no matter our race, creed, color, or religion. i believe both sides were committed to their beliefs, but the war was about ownership of others. the brothers in gray, in my humble opinion, were completely wrong.

my father still thinks the south should have won and that every man of means should own a 'nxxx'. it was embarrassing to grow up in that house. thank goodness my children are color-blind.
