Always just take the recommended dose of vitamins because your child can overdose on too many vitamins. One thing that you really should increased is the amount of liquids your child is drinking. Make sure that they drink plenty of water and juices. Also give them some electrolytes. Keep them on the vitamins, but do not increase the dosage.

I have never done that. Just give lots of love, make sure they drink lots and lots and lots of fluids, like juice and water, make sure they sleep all day, and don't send them to school. I don't find giving them vitamins helps anything. I mean, I would give my child a fever-preventing tylenol before a chewy vitamin when they are sick.

children can take more vita C because it is water soluble not fat soluble. Which means the body can get rid of it. Vita C is good for colds. Do not give them excessive iron ever. Vitamin supplements are not as good as the real thing. Oranges or juice is better.
