Mercman you have been a big help. My boat won't start. It turns over really nice when the spark plugs are out but not when they are in. I noticed water in the engine (milky oil). What can I do to fix this problem? I bought the boat from a guy a few weeks ago. I was told that I needed to replace the exhaust manifolds and it should run fine. I replaced to have a non-running boat. I guess the old manifolds broke leaving water in the engine. He turned it over when I went to buy it but now its a no go. Please help. Thanks for everything!!!!!!

So many questions, its getting late for me. Check the other questions, I left you somethings to inspect. If the oil is milky, change it first before moving on. Then check the starter system. If it is easier e-mail me at, don't laugh, capt2stk@yahoo.com. It was available. lol. If I am not to busy I check it a couple times a day.

Crap, if I am dead, who will give people the correct answers??? Not YOU lmao

When you changed the exhaust manifold water may of got into the engine then.
Change the oil then use another battery in the boat and see if the engine will turn over.
Borrow one out of your car all you need to do here is see if it will turn over-jumping the battery may not work.
If it does not turn over have the solenoids tested.
There is one or two on most boats-some have more.
My Glastron uses a solenoid and a boost solenoid. My Checkmate only has one.
Have the starter tested.
Most areas have a shop that repair or rebuild starters and alternators.
Marine parts are different but the test is the same

Get a wet vac and a skinny tube to see if you can get water out of th e cylinders asap. It's not doing any good in there. Once the motor can turn over, change the oil, then try running it briefly - get those manifolds replaced asap afterwards.

Let me get this straight, the motor turns over with the plugs out but it doesn't with them in. Or does turn over slowly with them in. I'm sure you would have seen a smashed spark plug tip if the pistons were hitting them ? did you get the spark plug wires back in the right order when you changed the plugs ? Did you fix that blowed head gasket yet ? So So So many thing so many things.

If it were mine - I would pull the heads and check the clyinders and probably hone out the rust.
Then see how hard it is to turn over buy hand.
By water being in the cly - it can seize a ring to piston - I would spray Blaster on top of pistons and let it soak down to the rings fo a week.

sorry for bad news but most likely you have a blow head gasket or crack block or crack head. I would pull the head off and have head and block ckout. What is happening is oil is mixing with water and head gasket keep these them separated plus does others things too.
