I just started taking paxil in July and I just took a pregancy test and it came out postive. I'm about 7 weeks preg. Could this medicine harm my baby?

Probably not. I took it and several other mental health medications during the entire pregnancy with my 7 year old son. Check with your health care provider for clarification. Congratulations on the happy news!!!

I was on Paxil for a few months leading up to and then during my entire pregnancy. My doctor said it was fine for me, however you MUST make an appointment with your OB/GYN and talk it over with her. Do it soon, and don't quit taking it!

Possibly -- Call the dr who prescribed the Paxil right away. DON'T stop taking it until you've talked to the dr.

I took paxil throughout my entire pregnancy. MY DR said it is completely safe.It is one of ThE few medcations that you can take.I had a 9 pound healthy baby girl. Your baby will be fine. CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK.

Please call your doctor and ask him..
1) My neighbors daughter who is 6 was put on it and it made her one angry and hyper kid. THey had to take her off the meds.
Since you aren't 6 this is more apropriate :)

PAXIL IS BAD.... GET OFF OF IT FOR NOT ONLY YOUR OWN SAKE BUT FOR YOUR BABY'S TOO. THERE ARE OTHER DEPRESSION PILLS THAT ARE ALOT BETTER FOR YOU.
