Can Scientologists be gay? Is that why Cruse is MR. PDA? Is it wrong for a scientologist to be gay? It is against the rules like taking meds? I notice scientologists on my space are very clear about being straight. Ever since Cruise acted up on the couch at Oprah I have been very curious about Scientology and reading about it. Can someone be gay and a scientologist? Is that why Cruise is so freaked out all the time?

I intensely dislike him because he is unkind to women who have problems with postpartum problems and thinks he is a doctor when he has not graduated high school. It is okay if he is gay. There is nothing wrong with being gay. It would be easier for everyone if he would come out and stop getting divorced all the time. I had a gay BF and he was trying to prove he was not by being mr PDA also. It is okay just be gay.

I am just asking about Scientology and Gays. Is it compatable is the question? Will scientology accept a gay member?

It is a shame that Tom slams on the mental health establisment when they could really help him. His baby might need help being that she may have inherited his genetics. I would respect him if he got medicated and conventional counselling. There is nothing wrong with having problems it is just bashing on others with problems is his problem. I am sure his statements have lead to the deaths of people who have not sought help. That is what upsets me.

Yes scientology will admit Gay members, it will take anyone it thinks won't cause them trouble and they can get money out of...

It may try then to turn them later as Hubbard, the founder of Scientology was very anti-gay.

One scientologist even sued the Church as they led him to believe they would cure him of being gay. He was at their highest level, OT VIII, Michael Pattinson and is all over the web.

" 6.The technology of study seems to me more oriented towards cult-indoctrination than self-discerning free-thinking STUDY (i.e. Hubbard is never wrong; if you disagree with him on ANYTHING It is because you have gone past a word or symbol that you did not fully understand. Hubbard being wrong about ANYTHING is not a thought that a Scientologist can compute with in their indoctrinated mind.

7.Being gay was not ever my choice or intention but it is not something that Scientology will ever "handle" however much one spends (I spent close to a half million dollars in Scientology, and I still want my money back!). Scioentology considers being gay as an "aberration" that needs to be erased. However, they don't erase it and are in actual practice anti-gay (as I and others got sent to "ethics" correction for such behavior). They did, however, accept hundreds of thousands of "Gay dollars" from me in full for a service they never delivered in full.Being gay may be something we don't understand yet but it exists in millions of people and, even when humans who misapply their own religious beliefs and spit hate out at gays, God loves me just the way I am. Here are the quotes from Hubbard's own books, central to Scientology that he does not like gay people, and puts them very low on his 'tone-scale' - and what is to be done about it...

"The sexual pervert (and by this term Dianetics, to be brief, includes any and all forms of deviation in dynamic two such as homosexuality, lesbianism, sexual sadism, etc., and all down the catalog of Ellis and Krafft-Ebing) is actually quite ill physically."

-L. Ron Hubbard, _Dianetics, The Modern Science of Mental Health_,
Book Two, Chapt. 5, at p. 120 ((c) 1989 L. Ron Hubbard Library)
(footnotes omitted).

Quote:
"At 1.1 on the tone scale we enter the area of the most vicious reversal of the second dynamic. Here we have promiscuity, perversion, sadism, and irregular practices."

_Science of Survival_, Book One, Chapt. 18, at 116.

Quote:
"From 1.3 down to 0.6 we have the general area of the subversive, who promises a people freedom and equality and gives them a slaughter of their best minds and cultural institutions, to the end of a totalitarian dominance."

_Science of Survival_, Book 1, Chapt. 27, at 163.

Quote:
"Unfortunately, it is all too often true that suppressors to a creative action must be removed before construction and creation takes place. Any person very high on the Tone Scale may level destruction toward a suppressor."

- L. Ron Hubbard, SCIENCE OF SURVIVAL, p. 159

Quote:
"The sudden and abrupt deletion of all individuals occupying the lower bands of the Tone Scale from the social order would result in an almost instant rise in the cultural tone and would interrupt the dwindling spiral into which any society may have entered."

- L. Ron Hubbard, SCIENCE OF SURVIVAL, p. 170

Quote:
"There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the Tone Scale, neither one of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the Tone Scale by un-enturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes. The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow."

- L. Ron Hubbard, SCIENCE OF SURVIVAL, p. 170

Quote:
"In any event, any person from 2.0 down on the Tone Scale should not have, in any thinking society, any civil rights of any kind, because by abusing those rights he brings into being arduous and strenuous laws which are oppressive to those who need no such restraints."

- L. Ron Hubbard, SCIENCE OF SURVIVAL, 1989 Ed., p. 145

Quote:
"There is no more ethical group on this planet than ourselves."

- L. Ron Hubbard, KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING. 7 February 1965, reissued 27 August 1980

"So, homosexuals are perverts, perverts are at 1.1 on the tone scale permanently, anyone at 1.1 on the tone scale or lower is actively working to destroy society, so therefore they should be either made into Scientologists or destroyed before they get the chance to wreck MORE of society. Because Scientologists are the most ethical group in the planet, THEY get to make this judgement.

Seems like a pretty logical progression in LRH's writing to me, but maybe I'm the one having a misunderstood here. If so, could you correct me?

And of course on one level you're right: Scientology will never be able to slaughter homosexuals or anyone else permanently at 1.1 on the tone scale - because they'll never, ever have control of anything other than their own delusions."
"Fanboy The Great" OCMB

Can a scientologists fault the logic or deny Hubbard's own books? Ron said this whether you like it or not.

Then look at this course, it is a high up level in the Church and is part of the L Rundowns. Homosexuality is put in the same section as "Pervert", "Sadist", "Deviant" "Pederast" - again showing what Hubbard thought of it.

Anyone can be gay, dear. It's up to them to come out of the closet. Tommy boy is about out of steam and he needs to keep in the spotlight at any cost. Pity, though. He was a good actor until he got big headed and dissed Nicole Kidman. Frankly, this whole debaucle with this child Katie Holmes was just a sick ploy. Something is seriously wrong with that man and he had the nerve to reproduce. I feel sorry for that baby. Poor kid! Mr. Cruise needs to take a cruise to the nearest shrink and have his head examined.
