The more you throw a baseball , your arm speed will increase and help your serve. Try taking your racket back slow and then once you get your racket behind your back, really accelerate.

Jumping shouldn't be done on purpose; it is only a result of the legs bending down and releasing upward to hit the ball. The harder they release the higher you jump. It is much more important though to hit the ball at the right time: while you're moving upward and into the court, and while the ball is just starting to come down. A lot of people will say hit it at the top of its flight, but that is not really true; its usually a split second after it reaches its peak. Another thing to be sure and do is have a loose flowing arm motion, so you will have more of a whip-like uncoiling that will ultimately make your racquet move faster, causing the ball to go faster.

You can also have your racquest strung with a different tension. For example, if the manufacturer suggests 50-60 tension, you may wish to have it strung at 48. The catch is that you will get a little more trampoline effect on all your strokes because there will be more power. You also need to loosen your wrist. The more you can mimick what a golf club does with your arm, the harder you will hit the ball, like a catapult. But like others have said, relax before you hit it.

a couple of things, make your legs stronger, thrust up into the serve it gives you better power, it's something that andy roddick does. If you notice his serve its all in his legs. or you could get massive shoulders like Fernando Gonzales, or a strong trunk like Sampras and federer, all those can be effective just building your strength up. Also try to swing harder, I know it sounds foolish but if you try to swing through the ball instead of meeting the ball it can really work.
Third option: Lead tape, it's not illegal and if you put it on the top it can give you more power, or just get a heavier racquet. I added 1.3 oz of racquet weight and added 15 mph to my serve.

1. Toss the ball high while serving.
2. Always try to middle the racket.
3. Your arm must be straight and vertical while serving.
This gives you more momentum better balance and greater top spin.
