Since school's starting up for me, I thought I'd try and slim down just a bit before the first day.

I already know about eating a healthy diet and excersising, and how you're supposed to burn more calories than you eat each day, but how can you tell if you've burned enough? Do you just have to guess?

Thanks!

go to fitday.com, it will let you type in what you ate each day and that will help you alot, and alot of exercise machines and even watch like objects will let you know.

Good Luck

You will have to look on the net or in a book store. I have been dieting my whole life and now just know what to and not to eat to maintain or lose some lbs. Alot of it is common sense, eat the right foods, and keep exercising, your body will tell you by the way your clothes feel, and please dont become a scaleaholic.Weigh yourself once a week in the am, dont be obsessed with it. You'll catch on soon enuf. Good Luck

You're just going to have to get on the scale in the morning and weigh yourself first thing every day same time. That's the only way, as far as I know, to know if you're losing weight/burning more calories than you're taking in.

If you are using machines to work out they tell you how much calories you've lost.

you have to count your calories. Subtract your basal metabolism and find out the net calories (+/-)

Daily calories burned is very hard to calculate since your fluid intake varies. You need to plot your progress over a period of weeks.

You check your weight on a scale, if your weight goes down, you've burned calories and if your weight goes up, you gained calories.

One day won't make any difference. You need need to do regular excercise and eat right. Then you will win.
